What is it about?

TravelBuddy is a mobile app concept for purchasing bus tickets that transforms a routine task into an engaging experience. The project combines a minimalist interface with a distinctive brand personality, centered around “Bilecik” – a hand-drawn mascot that accompanies the user. Within the theme of “Cycles,” the app analyzes the repetitive nature of travel rituals. Each reservation is a closed sequence of actions that the design simplifies and optimizes. A limited colour palette balances the energetic character of the illustrations, creating a clear tool that gives new meaning to the daily routine of commuting.

Why was it created and for whom?

The project was designed for young travelers who value their time and intuitive digital solutions. The goal was to reduce the stress associated with quick purchases and turn frustrating moments – such as system errors or rushing – into positive interactions. TravelBuddy explores the role of design in giving meaning to repetitive tasks. By understanding user needs and introducing a friendly brand hero, the project proves that even a task as mundane as buying a ticket can become an enjoyable, stress-free experience that builds an emotional connection with the product.
