POSTHER

What is it about?
POSTHER is an original, international exhibition dedicated to the work of contemporary female poster designers. The project encompasses everything from the initial concept and curatorial oversight to the visual identity design, catalog production, and the organization of the exhibition. The first edition, presented at the Duża Scena UAP Gallery in Poznań, brought together works by artists from countries such as Mexico, the USA, Bulgaria, and France. The event serves as a survey of diverse techniques and design styles, acting as a platform for intercultural exchange. According to the author’s vision, the project is cyclical, evolving into a regular fixture on the artistic calendar that promotes the achievements of women in graphic design.

Why was it created and for whom?
The initiative was created to increase the visibility of female graphic designers and to broaden the discussion regarding the role of women in culture and art. It is aimed at the artistic community, students, and the general public interested in poster design today. The goal of POSTHER is to amplify the presence of contemporary female designers and to create a strong support network for women in culture. Through its cyclical nature, the project aims to build a lasting narrative about the significance of the female voice in design, offering a fresh perspective on the traditional medium of the poster within a global and social context.
