Elements – calendar

What is it about?

The project is a modular calendar consisting of twelve unique elements and a base. Each module visually references the character of a specific month, yet their physical form allows for a complete departure from the linear order of time. The user can freely rearrange and compose the elements, creating their own layouts and relationships between fragments of the year. The theme of “Cycles” manifests here in two ways: as the natural, annual cycle of time and as a repetitive process of deconstructing and reassembling form. It is an object at the intersection of functional design and sculpture, where the calendar becomes a dynamic, open structure.

Why was it created and for whom?

The project was created for individuals sensitive to form who seek space for creative interaction in everyday objects. The goal was to break away from a rigid, tabular perception of time in favor of a multisensory experience. By abandoning a forced chronological order, the calendar encourages experimentation, turning the user into a co-creator of the object.
