What is it about?

The project is a publication serving as an introduction to the phenomenon of the loneliness epidemic in contemporary society. The graphic design visualizes a sense of uncertainty and the fragmentation of the “self.” A key design element is the isolation of the book’s interior from the outside world using tape, which acts as a direct metaphor for a state of seclusion. The act of cutting the tape by the reader becomes a symbolic first step toward action and breaking the isolation. The project aligns with the theme “Cycles,” showing that every new reality generates specific challenges, creating historical cycles of crises that humanity must confront.

Why was it created and for whom?

The publication was created to raise awareness about the global problem of loneliness, which affects individuals regardless of whether they are single or in a crowd. It is aimed at those experiencing the fear of being misunderstood and those who wish to explore the impact of isolation on our reality. The goal of the project is not only to diagnose the problem of closing oneself off to “the unknown” but, above all, to offer hope for improvement. It is intended to provoke reflection on how recognizing the existence of a barrier allows its effective removal and a reopening to relationships.
