What is it about?

The project is an artistic, polysensory edition of Plato’s dialogue Timaeus, centered on the idea of universal harmony. The key motif is the concept of time as a “moving image of eternity,” which in the publication has been translated into kinetic, spatial illustrations. The reader can physically experience the Platonic vision of perfection by exploring the book’s structure, which is based on a precise design grid. The publication is entirely unique—only two copies were produced, each hand-assembled and glued. It is a fusion of classical philosophy with modern spatial design that engages both sight and touch in the cognitive process.

Why was it created and for whom?

The publication was created for connoisseurs of artists’ books and those seeking a deeper, physical connection with philosophy. The goal was to give the ancient text a new level of perception through a form that reflects its content. The creation process itself—requiring nine hours of labour by three people for a single copy—became a ritualistic, cyclical repetition of actions for the authors, echoing the Platonic vision of the world’s creation. The project aims to prove that abstract concepts such as “moving eternity” or “geometric perfection” can become tangible and understandable through craftsmanship and design.
