Modern definition of a plum – an identification system for plum preserves from Dary Lasu

What is it about?
The project features a comprehensive visual identity system and a series of food packaging designs for the “Dary Lasu” (Forest Gifts) brand. The graphic line unifies a diverse range of products: from juices and preserves to dried fruit and snack bars. The author utilizes modern synthesis and geometry to create a flexible modular system that maintains consistency across various formats. The theme of “Cycles” is interpreted here in two ways: as the cyclicity of repetitive graphic modules and as the process of material transformation—tracking the life cycle of a fruit as it changes its state and form to become the base for various food products.

Why was it created and for whom?
The project was created out of a need to redefine the visual language of traditional and regional products, targeting a contemporary, aesthetically conscious consumer. The goal was to prove that a local product can successfully function within modern design trends without losing its authenticity. By moving away from literal illustration in favor of geometric abstraction, the author gives the “Dary Lasu” brand a unique, almost architectural character. The project promotes respect for the raw material and its variability, showing that a single ingredient subjected to cyclical technological transformations can become the foundation for a rich and visually coherent brand.
