What is it about?

“Poza sezonem” (Off-season) is an original photography magazine exploring recreational architecture—summer houses and campsites—in a state of suspension. The photographs document the moment between human presence and emptiness, recording traces of the past season and the relationship between temporary structures and nature. A key element of the work is the cyclicity of abandonment and return, where the rhythm of life is dictated by the seasons. The project analyzes the materiality of places that, although used periodically, constitute significant points on the emotional map of their users. It is a visual record of time in which nature reclaims space, and architecture becomes a silent witness to human presence.

Why was it created and for whom?

The magazine was created for those sensitive to documentary aesthetics and the psychology of space. The goal of the project is to highlight the shifting functions of recreational areas and how strongly we leave a “piece of ourselves” behind, despite their temporary nature. The publication is intended to provoke reflection on our impact on the landscape and the nostalgia inherent in the cycle of seasonality. For the author, the project is an attempt to capture the unique atmosphere of “unused” places which, during the off-season, gain a new, melancholic identity, becoming autonomous objects at the intersection of culture and the wild.
