Packaging redesign for Garden&Fun bird food

What is it about?
The project features a bird food packaging system and a guide on proper feeding, aimed at changing the harmful narrative of “year-round” feeding. The author rejects traditional polypropylene bags in favor of a functional tube made of 400g recycled cardboard. A key innovation is the lid’s design, which, when removed, serves as an ergonomic spatula for scooping grain, eliminating the problem of spilling. The packaging is designed in the spirit of ecology and education, emphasizing that feeding should occur only during harsh winter conditions, in accordance with the natural cycle of wild birds’ needs.

Why was it created and for whom?
The project was created for individuals who want to help animals in a responsible and conscious manner. The goal was to correct the common mistake of feeding birds all year round, which often leads to their dependency on humans. By using recycled materials and improving functionality, the author offers a product consistent with pro-ecological values. The packaging ceases to be just a container and becomes an educational tool that teaches the user respect for nature and specifies the exact timeframe for assistance, ensuring both bird health and the comfort of their caretakers.
