What is it about?

The project is an original zine that serves as a visual interpretation of a reportage by Maciej Okraszewski (Dział Zagraniczny – International Department) titled “Why are thousands of greyhounds abandoned in Spain?”. The publication tackles the harrowing subject of dog exploitation and abandonment. The zine was printed in two copies on Woodstock Betulla paper, using the Helvetica and Coolvetica typefaces.

Who was it created for and why?

One of the primary motivations behind this work was the need to channel the intense emotions evoked by the reportage. As a student of the Book Arts Studio and a fan of the podcast, the author wanted to give this story the form of a physical publication. The project also provided a perfect opportunity to artistically incorporate maps—a personal passion of the creator. One of the copies was gifted to the author of the podcast.
