A series of book covers for Polish science fiction writers

What is it about?
The project features an original visual language created for a series of science-fiction book covers. The concept is based on the contrast between analogue matter and digital processing, utilizing coloured paper cut-outs and fragments of graph paper (symbolizing the scientific element of the genre). Each cover is defined by a unique, black geometric shape and intense, unnatural colours that reflect a vision of an unknown future. The theme of “Cycles” is realized through a consistent structural layout: dynamic chaos in the lower part of the composition meets ordered typography at the top. This rhythmic division between order and expression, along with a repetitive colour palette, creates a coherent identity for the entire publishing series.

Why was it created and for whom?
The project was created for publishers and readers seeking a new aesthetic in the sci-fi genre, moving away from literal illustrations toward abstraction. The goal was to develop a system that, despite the diversity of individual volumes, maintains instant recognizability through repetitive graphic patterns. The project explores the tension between science and imagination, translating literary visions of the future into a language of forms and colours. By using analogue techniques, the author gives futuristic visions a tangible, unique texture, proving that the cyclicity of design principles can become a strong foundation for stories about the unknown and the unpredictable.
