Cultivation of creativity for parents and children
Description
Parents often experience fatigue and lack the time to play with their children. A popular way to capture a child’s attention is a smartphone, which has a negative impact on young children’s fine motor skills, creativity, and the parent-child relationship.
The author focused on understanding the target group and the role of creativity in different life stages. She researched the positive and negative factors influencing a child’s development. Interviews with parents unveiled their daily challenges, which helped the author to clarify the topic of her project. She compiled a list of games and activities, designing all card elements, such as a section with the benefits provided by each activity, e.g. motor skills or patience.
The project is primarily aimed at busy parents or those seeking ideas for enjoyable ways to spend their time. The project targets 5–6-year-olds, because this is the time when particular attention should be paid to fostering creativity and creative behaviours.
