UKOI – a sensory weighted hood
Julia Bugajska
PL, AFA in Katowice
Description
The product has been designed with the intention of promoting self-care and well-being in our increasingly overstimulating environment. Nowadays, the amount of stimuli surrounding us is growing, especially when we are outside our homes. The author wanted to harness the power of load-bearing products and transform them into a form that allows us to benefit from this product anywhere. Anyone who feels they need a moment to themselves can put on the hood and de-stress by feeling the weight on themselves. The hood will also help to disconnect the user from noise and visual stimuli. To create the hood, the author learned to sew during this semester.
