Sainté/Kato. A subjective comparison and documentation of partner cities
Description
The inspiration was very personal – the author comes from Katowice, Poland, and a large part of his identity is connected to this city and the region. Saint-Étienne, where he spent one semester during Erasmus exchange, is a partner city of Katowice. Both cities share quite a few similarities: starting from the obvious history of coal mining, both being part of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network, to such things as similar colours on their coats of arms (reflected in the book’s colouring). The project goal was to record those similarities through a subjective, personal lens.
