Description

“Easel for Everyone” has been designed for long-time work in a sitting position. It supports both physically able and disabled people who want to develop their artistic passion. This is a new version of the classic design, taking into account users with different needs.

The design process began with observing different groups of people
working at the easel. Ergonomics, comfort and adjustability to the needs of people with disabilities were analyzed and discussed with users. Designed primarily for people in wheelchairs, but with the priority of the sitting position, it can be used as a tool for everyone: students of art and design working long hours at the easel, seniors who paint as a pastime, professional artists, art therapy participants.

The easel design allows easy maneuvering for people in wheelchairs. The painting position can be adjusted up-down, right-left using no strength. The integrated mobile toolbox that provides easy access to accessories and organizes the work space so that the user has everything at hand.
