The Deluge
Description
The goal was to prepare for school reading, facilitating quick and effective knowledge review for exams. It serves as a supplement to reading rather than a replacement.
After analyzing students’ experiences with required reading, the author developed a system of functional tools to enrich the reading experience without distractions. Firstly, she researched important book content useful for exams to create a readable structure over the original text. Marginal markings refer to spreads with compiled knowledge of the characters, places, historical events, themes, and quotes – the book’s most significant section. Essential quotes are highlighted, and motifs appear at the top of the page. Additionally, the book cover strongly reflects the special additional content and scheme of the book while creating a vivid and friendly tone for young people.
The project targets students who require rapid organization and connection of key information and themes for exam revision following their reading.
