“Creativity protects the future”: Project promoting the activities of the City Museumin Tychy

Our project aims to increase the local community’s interest in the activities proposed by the City Museum in Tychy. The design incorporates artefacts related to the city’s identity, corresponding to the main idea: “Creativity Protects the Future”.
A mosaic, hidden behind a thermal insulation layer on one of Tychy’s facades, was a starting point for us to speculate on the visual future of the city, taking into account the current identity of the place. Through analysis of the local context and an observational visit to the city of Tychy, we defined our main design challenge: “How to show the progressiveness of the Museum? What is the role of the museum of the future? How to get the residents to think about it?”
The project’s message is addressed to a new, more conscious audience, who will be willing to make regular visits to the Museum.
The software used: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator; paper prototyping with laser cut.
