Bogdan Kosak (PL)
Ceramicist. Born in Sumin in 1966, obtained his Master’s diploma in Art and Design of Ceramics in 2019, at the Faculty of Glass and Ceramics of the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław. He designs household porcelain and ceramic sculpture.
In the years 1995–2006 he worked for Porcelain Śląska and BGH Network in Katowice and was the author of several dozen implemented utility ceramics designs. He managed the pattern shop at Porcelana Śląska from 1995 to 2008. In order to implement individual solutions in artistic and utility ceramics, he founded the KOSAK Ceramic Modelarnia in 1995, run jointly with Beata Kosak in Cieszyn since 2010. In 2013, he organized a ceramics studio at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Katowice. Thanks to his teaching work, he conducts research expanding the area of using ceramics in inclusive design. For several years, he has been implementing projects in interdisciplinary teams: UFO plate for your neighbor, the Trail of Non-Obvious Monuments, the Ceramic Rehabilitation Workshop.
His works are included in the collections of: National Museum in Warsaw Center of Modern Design, National Museum in Krakow, Regional Museum in Stalowa Wola, Regional Museum in Tomaszów Lubelski, Silesian Museum in Katowice, Museum in Gliwice, Villa Caro, Cieszyn Castle.
