Co-initiator and director of Zamek Cieszyn (2005–2021) – the first regional centre in Poland promoting design among companies and in the public sector. Zamek Cieszyn supports innovative ventures in many aspects of life, not just business, being a unique example of combining history and modernity itself. It focuses on the development of young designers, promoting their achievements e.g. through the Graduation Projects review. It is involved in the development of regional potential by organising the Śląska Rzecz (The Silesian Thing) competition. Ewa Gołębiowska is involved in both of these competitions as a member of the jury. The well-known events that keep growing due to her inspiration include Dizajn w Przestrzeni Publicznej (Design in Public Space) – an annual international conference and exhibition on the most interesting solutions related to accessibility, safety, mobility, urban greenery or waste reduction.
Active participant in a number of European collaborative networks, including EIDD Design for All – an organisation focused on improving quality of life through the implementation of the Design for All principle, which she chaired from 2013 to 2017. Moderator of local activities that receive tangible support and international promotion in the global Human Cities network.
