Article 1
GENERAL PROVISIONS
- These Regulations of the “AGRAFA 2026 International Review of Student Design” define the terms and conditions of “AGRAFA 2026” review, hereinafter referred to as “the Review”.
- The organiser of the Review is the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Katowice, ul. Raciborska 37, 40-074 Katowice, hereinafter referred to as “the Organiser”.
Article 2
PURPOSE OF THE REVIEW
The purpose of the Review is to reward, distinguish and promote young designers and graduates who represent different environments, including scientific, business, and socially engaged, as well as interdisciplinary. The Review is an opportunity to express an opinion in the discussion on the development perspectives of contemporary design. Additionally, by presenting subjects and studios, the Review enables comparison of the curricula of different art and design universities. It is also a platform to present diverse research and creative attitudes.
Article 3
REVIEW PARTICIPANTS
Participation in the Review is possible for:
- students of first-cycle, second-cycle or long-cycle master degree studies (full-time or part-time students of design and/or art);
- postgraduate certificate students;
- studios and subjects taught as part of full-time or part-time study programmes of design and/or art at the first-cycle, second-cycle or long-cycle master level studies;
- persons who graduated no earlier than in 2024.
Article 4
REVIEW RULES
- The Review is organized periodically.
- There are two categories of the Review:
a. Student project
b. Studio/subject
Student project
- Projects that are diploma work cannot be submitted for review.
- The works may be created as a result of the teaching process or be a private initiative of the student.
- Each Participant in the Review in the student project category may submit a maximum of 3 original projects, which are concepts or implemented projects.
- Projects that qualify for the Exhibition must take the form of a physical object, i.e. a 1:1 model, mock-up, prototype or printout (this does not apply to digital and multimedia projects).
- Projects created or implemented before 1 January 2024 will not be evaluated.
- Projects that are diploma work will not be evaluated.

Films / animations / digital prototypes:

* For password-protected links, please provide the password in the application form. The password should remain unchanged until the results of the review are announced. If the password is inactive or missing from the application form, the work will be disqualified.
Studio/subject
A studio/subject presents itself in the form of film containing information about the programme and the studio in relation to the meaning of the main slogan Cycles. The film should include information such as: objectives, teaching methods, topics addressed, skills to be acquired by students, achievements, teacher profiles and the learning outcomes in the form of student work examples.
Each studio that applies is required to prepare a film presentation of its project or activities, which will be part of the review accompanying the AGRAFA 2026 conference.
The film presentation should:
- last no longer than 1 minute and 30 seconds,
- be saved in MP4 format,
- contain a board with basic identification information, prepared in accordance with the template provided by the competition organiser (Appendix 1 to the Regulations).
The film may or may not contain:
- background music,
- voice-over commentary,
- text descriptions accompanying the presented content. The decision to include sound, narration or text is at the discretion of the submission authors.
How to submit:

Please name your files according to the following format:

Presentation language:
Films may be prepared in English or in the native language with English subtitles.
Technical quality:
The organiser reserves the right to reject films that do not meet the technical requirements or whose quality significantly impairs the viewing experience.
Definitive nature of submissions:
Once a film presentation has been submitted, it cannot be edited, replaced or withdrawn.
Submission and publication:
Submission of a film presentation is tantamount to consenting to its publication by the organiser on the internet, in particular through the official communication channels of the AGRAFA 2026 review. The applicant shall not claim the right to withdraw the public presentation of the film after it has been selected for the review.
Copyright and image rights:
The applicant declares that they have full rights to the materials used in the film (including music, photographs, graphics, voice recordings, video materials, etc.) and that they do not infringe the rights of third parties. In the case of using the image of natural persons, the applicant is responsible for obtaining their consent for publication.

Article 5
THE EVALUATION OF THE PROJECTS
The evaluation of the projects shall take into account meeting the conditions specified in Article 4 and in particular:
- Considering the dynamically changing needs of the environment
- The courage to think outside the box and the willingness to look for solutions to improve the quality of life;
- Good ideas that prove creativity and open-mindedness – the courage to take up challenges but also openness towards others and sensitivity to the problems around us;
- The quality of implementation (or feasibility to implement);
- The quality of the mock-ups, models, print-outs, publications;
- The complexity of the topic.
Article 6
USER CONSENTS
- Upon submission of the Review work the Participant of the Review declares that they:
1) accept the Regulations of the Review and agree to abide by the rules set forth herein;
2) agree, free of charge, to:
a) the processing of their personal data (name, surname, e-mail address, telephone number),
b) the publication of their image;
3) grant the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Katowice (with the right to grant further authorisation) non-exclusive free license to use the photographic reproduction of the Review work and/or the Review work, including in the form of a digital file for the purposes and within the scope indicated in these Regulations, including the Consent Clause (Attachment 1 to the Regulations).
4) give their consent, free of charge, for the Review work description to be subjected to necessary processing, adaptation, the addition of titles and subtitles, abbreviation, technical adjustment, elaboration and correction including stylistic, spelling and language corrections, etc. to enable its proper presentation.
2. The Organiser informs that audiovisual and photographic materials may be produced during the Exhibition and used in information/promotional materials prepared by the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Katowice, or by its order, and/or an entity selected by the Academy, and made available in the media. The material may be publicly exhibited, broadcast, reproduced and made available to the public, in the traditional form – print-outs, as well as in the electronic form, including via the Internet. The disposal of rights indicated in this section is not limited in terms of time or territory.
3. The material sent by the Participants shall be used in information and promotional materials related to the Review, to which the Participant of the Review shall agree, free of charge.
4. Any use/dissemination of the materials/works/files/reproductions specified in this section shall be free of charge.
5. Upon submitting their work for the Review, the Participant declares that they waive the right to withdraw the work from the Review.
Article 7
REVIEW SCHEDULE
- Stage 1 – from 1 January 2026 to 16 February 2026: the Review Participants shall log in using the online form available at https://agrafa.asp.katowice.pl/en/
The form allows logged-in Review Participants to edit their applications until 16 February 2026 by 23:59. After 16 February 2026, there shall be no possibility to edit the applications. - Stage 2 – until 16 March 2026 – the Review Selection Jury shall announce the list of the projects, out of the submitted applications, which shall be nominated for the international Exhibition, during which the Jury shall select the winners of the main awards. The results shall be published on the Organiser’s website and social media.
- Stage 3 – the announcement of the results of the Review by the Jury shall take place on 14 May 2026 during the opening of the “AGRAFA 2026” Exhibition.
- The Review Exhibition at the Rondo Sztuki Gallery of the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Katowice, Rondo im. gen. Jerzego Ziętka 1, shall run until 17 June 2026.
Article 8
NOMINATION FOR THE EXHIBITION
- After announcing the results of the second stage, the Organiser will contact the creators of the nominated projects to inform them about their qualification for the Review and the need to deliver their work.
- Those nominated for the Exhibition undertake to make their works (originals or models) available to the Organiser for presentation during the Exhibition.
- Works submitted to the Exhibition should be labelled with the first name, surname and title of the project, with the note Agrafa’26.
- Nominated Participants of the Review shall send their works at their own expense to the following address: Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice, ul. Raciborska 50, 40-074 Katowice, with the note AGRAFA 2026, by 21 April 2026 at the latest. (the date of receipt at the indicated address shall be decisive).
- Shipments not paid for by the Participant shall not be accepted by the Organiser.
- The cost of shipping the work and insurance for the transport shall be covered by the Review Participant qualified to participate in the Exhibition. The Organiser shall not be liable for any damage caused during transport.
- Works submitted to the Review must meet basic technical requirements, including safety requirements for proper installation and use. If they do not meet these requirements, the Organiser has the right to refuse to admit the nominated work to the Exhibition. Works qualified for the exhibition but delivered in an incomplete form, of poor quality or damaged will not be admitted to the Exhibition.
- After the Exhibition, the projects will be packed in shipping boxes. Projects must be collected in person or sent by courier to the following email address: agrafa@agrafa.asp.katowice.pl
The ordered courier shipment must be collected by the courier at the following address: Academy of Fine Arts, ul. Raciborska 50, 40-074 Katowice.
Article 9
REVIEW WINNERS
Student project
1. The winners of the “AGRAFA 2026” Review in the “Student Project” category shall receive cash prizes.
2. The Organizer reserves the right to award special prizes funded by partners or sponsors of the Review.
3. The Review jury shall grant three main prizes in the “Student Project” category:
1) 1st Prize – gross PLN10,000.00
2) 2nd Prize – gross PLN5,000.00
3) 3rd Prize – gross PLN3,000.00
The Jury reserves the right to distribute the prizes in a different manner.
Studio / Subject
- As part of the Design Studio Review, the selected Studios or Subjects will be presented at the Exhibition. The organiser reserves the right to award additional prizes funded by sponsors as recommended by the jury.
- The Studio/Item nominated for the exhibition will receive two free tickets to the AGRAFA’26 Cycles Conference.
Article 10
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
1. The content of Attachment 2 to the Regulations is an integral part of the online application form.
2. Review documentation is prepared in accordance with Article 4 and Article 7 of the Review Regulations in connection with Clause 1.
FINAL PROVISIONS
Article 11
1. The works submitted for the Review shall be original works of the Participants and shall be free from any legal defects.
2. The Review Participant shall state and represent that:
1) they are fully and solely responsible for the content, and the works submitted and presented (distributed) during the Review;
2) the content, and the works submitted and presented (distributed) during the Review do not violate the rights of third parties, the provisions of these Regulations or generally applicable law.
Article 12
1. The Organiser reserves the right to:
1) change the Review Schedule;
2) publish information about the composition of the Review Jury at a later date, which shall be announced on the Organiser’s website.
2. The Organiser reserves the right to make changes to these Regulations.
3. The Organiser shall not send back the works selected for the Exhibition. The works shall be collected at the expense of the Review Participants, after the Exhibition ends, at a time agreed with a representative of the Organiser by e-mail or by phone.
4. The Organiser shall not be responsible for:
1) entrusted works, loss, damage or change of their properties in the event that the works are inadequately secured the Review Participant;
2) damage caused due to the provision of incorrect or outdated data by the Review Participant;
3) infringement of third party copyrights by the Review Participant in connection with their application.
5. The Organiser reserves the right to exclude a Review Participant from the Review if:
1) the work submitted by the Review Participant is inconsistent with the Review Regulations;
2) the submitted work seems to be identical or similar to works that are already known;
3) the submitted work infringes the copyrights of third parties.
6. In the event that none of the works submitted for the Review meets the requirements or expectations of the Organiser, the Organiser shall have the right to end the Review without selecting winners and granting awards.
7. Any disputes between the Participants of the Review and the Organiser shall be settled by the common court competent for the registered office of the Organiser.

Attachment no. 2 to the Regulations
CONSENT CLAUSE FOR PERSONS PARTICIPATING IN THE REVIEW AGRAFA 2026 International Review of Student Design organised by the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Katowice.
1) I agree to the processing of my personal data contained in the application form and the forms submitted for the purposes indicated in the Review Regulations.
2) I acknowledge that participation in the competition involves the requirement to disclose my data to the organiser: the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Katowice.
3) I acknowledge that the documents submitted, referred to in section 1, will be destroyed after 6 months if I do not take part in the review, provided that the retention of such data is not required under section 1: the review organiser’s obligation to retain information necessary to document the correctness of the competition procedures.
4) By giving my consent in the online registration form, I declare that I am familiar with the rights set forth in Articles 15-22, 34, 77 and 82 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation).
5) By submitting works to the Review, I grant to the organiser a nonexclusive, free licence (including the right to grant sub-licences) for the use of photographic reproductions of the work submitted and/or of the work, including in the form of digital files, for purposes: related to the organisation of the International Review of Student Design, its promotion, production of the post-review exhibition and other exhibitions, informing about the activities/achievements of the Review Participants and/or the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Katowice itself, dissemination of art, promotion and dissemination of culture, in the following fields of exploitation:
a) in terms of recording and reproduction: production by any technique of an unlimited number of copies, including with the use of printing, reprographic, audio-visual, magnetic recording, digital technique;
b) in terms of using in materials prepared by the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Katowice or by its order, both in traditional form – print – and electronic form, including on the Internet;
c) in terms of disseminating in a different manner: public display, show, reproduction, broadcasting and re-broadcasting, including on the Internet, entry into the computer memory, transmission via a multimedia network, including the Internet and other public sharing in such a way that everyone could have access to them in a place and time chosen by him or her (including the information about the works submitted for AGRAFA).
6) (Each person who decides to submit their application form declares that they had been informed of the fact that their consent to the processing of their image is voluntary but essential for the realisation of the purposes specified in the Review Regulations.) I consent to the placing of my image connected with my participation in the Review on/in the website and social media of the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Katowice, the Review Facebook page, promotional/information materials referred to in the Review Regulations, both in traditional form – print – and electronic form, including on the Internet, and to its processing for the purposes connected with the organisation of the International Review of Student Design, its promotion, the review exhibition or other exhibitions, information about the activities/achievements of the Review Participants and/or the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Katowice itself, dissemination of art, and the promotion and dissemination of culture.
7) I declare that I have been informed and accept that during the review exhibition audio-visual and photographic materials may be produced which can be used in information/promotional materials developed by the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Katowice or by its order and/or the order of an entity specified by the Academy, and made available to the media. These materials can be subject to public display, broadcast, reproduction or public sharing both in traditional form – print – and electronic form, including on the Internet.
8) This declaration includes my consent to the using, disseminating, copying and recording of photographs and recorded materials by the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Katowice or by its order and/or the order of an entity specified by the Academy.
9) The use/dissemination referred to in this declaration:
a) is not limited in time or place (subject to Clause 3);
b) is free of charge.
10) The Review Participant confirms that they have read and accept the Review Regulations.

1) Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Katowice, ul. Raciborska 37, 40-074 Katowice, is the controller of the personal data processed.
2) You have the right to access, rectify and transfer your personal data.
3) You have the right to limit the processing in case the processing is not stipulated in the Review Regulations, and raise an objection in the event of processing in violation of legal requirements
4) You have the right to withdraw your consent, which is tantamount to resigning from participation in the review.
5) You have the right to receive information about a breach and file a complaint with the supervisory authority if any breach has been identified, and the right to pursue claims associated with the breach.
6) Providing your personal data is voluntary and results from your personal decision to participate in the Review.
7) Your data shall not be processed in an automated manner or profiled.
8) The data shall not be processed for any purposes other than those specified in the Review Regulations and in this statement.
9) The data shall be processed for the period consistent with the purposes specified in the Regulations and in this statement.
