Wiktoria Słowik

Wiktoria Słowik is an artist currently working in public space. Through handmade posters and small, self-installed visual interventions, she reflects on how language shapes who feels visible in the city. Her practice is personal and hands-on, rooted in repetition, care and persistence. She treats simple gestures as a way of questioning norms and gently shifting what is seen and named.

Interrupting the silence: the cycles of feminist interventions in public space

This presentation shares a personal feminist project carried out in the streets through handmade posters and small urban interventions. The work responds to the marginalization of women in Polish language and public space. Each action begins its own cycle – it may be noticed, ignored, or torn down. Made and installed by hand, the project uses repetition and fragility as quiet but persistent forms of resistance.
