Predictive Cycles: Generative AI ‘hacking’ as a design-tool to envision possible futures.

In this presentation, I will propose a method for ‘hacking’ generative-AI technology (framed as a ‘probability-machine’) as a way for designers, architects and futurists to predict probable, possible, and preferable futures. I will also connect these methods to those used by science fiction authors and filmmakers during their world-building – building upon what has come before through cyclical iterations to envision what might come next.
