Amelia is a final-year Graphic Design student from Poland, passionate about visual communication and design research. A typography enthusiast, she enjoys creating visual identities and is increasingly interested in UX/UI design. While her studies focused mainly on practice, she independently began exploring the history of graphic design to better understand its evolution. My speech will explore cyclical trends in graphic design over the last century—from Bauhaus and Swiss Style to retro, psychedelic, and digital minimalism—and will examine how these recurring styles influence contemporary projects. Through historical analysis and modern examples, I will reveal how understanding past cycles can inspire fresh, innovative, and culturally resonant visual solutions.
